Research: Are UK Finance Leaders Ready for Audit Reform?

No longer a question of “if” but “when”

Audit reform, long in the works by The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), is fast becoming a tangible reality, with the Department’s March announcement of a consultation into reforms to modernise the country’s audit and corporate governance regime.

This is a once-in-a-generation set of reforms with sweeping impact and lofty goals. “By restoring trust in our corporate governance regime and encouraging greater transparency, we will provide investors with clarity and certainty, cement the UK’s position as the best place in the world to do business, and protect jobs across the country,” stated Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng in Accountancy Age.

In this research document, Censuswide surveyed 250 CFOs, finance directors, heads of risk, and audit managers, within UK-listed companies. Download the report and infographic to see what they had to say about audit reform in the UK.
